| I was only planning on running 5 or 6, but I felt so good I kept going.I had hoped I would see Dave out running thinking he may have some water. I decided to stop at the Green Springs Chevron and buy a water. Got running again, and Dave comes running up behind me! He ran with me for one mile, then he went home and I continued up to Maverik. On my home, ran into Dave and the girls who were walking up to Maverik to meet me for a treat. Went up with the fan, and got a treat. It was a really good run, and I had fun |

| I have been running consistently for a while now, and decided after my good Dogtown 1/2 race (time of 2:02- my very first half!) that I would sign up for St. George Marathon. So, I run everyday with Terri and Jolene, and now our new friend Heidi. Occasionally others in the neighborhood join us. Today we ran our usual run up parkway and back home through the dirt. |

| Met at church on bluff for my very first run down the course! Ran Terri and Jolene and had all Kendra's people leave us in the dust! Took my own water and filled up with gatorade about mile 11. It was really fun to run down the course and get a feel for it. Around mile 12 I saw an old friend I haven't seen in a year, so she and I finished up the last 2 miles together. Finished up and then hit Fabulous Freddy's for a coke before going back up to get the car. |

| Started out at Dammeron Valley and ran down the course with Terri and Jolene. I felt really good, and used my new hand held water bottles. Debbie met us 8 miles left of the route. Met my mom and we ran down the last 5.5 together. Finished off running down Bluff to Clairidge Inn after getting a coke- of course! This is the longest I've gone and I feel really good. Stretched really good after and used the stick. I am looking forward to longer runs and the marathon! |

Started out at Mom and Dad's, ran 3 around the neighborhood then on to Wasatch Blvd. Ran Wasatch to my Aunt's old house where Dave and I lived for a while after we got married. Stopped at Smith's to get a drink and bathroom, then down Bengal Blvd to Highland Drive. Down Highland Drive, and back up 94th to 7-11 where we finished 13 with a coke! It was really fun to run with Sara, and it's always fun to run in my home town. Now, off to Lagoon for the rest of the day! |

| 18 miles today! Dave drove us up the course past Veyo so this was my first time running up the dreaded Veyo hill. I didn't think it was too bad, just long. My pace was all over the place, I guess averaging 10:30. The whole thing took me about 3hr 10 min. I feel really good, and am proud this was the farthest I have gone. Finished at the church where Dave and James were waiting for me with a coke and a doughnut....he's the best! I really like long runs and I am really looking forward to running the Provo River Half in a few weeks. | |

| Dave drove Amanda, Terri, and I 9 miles up the course around Diamond Valley. We ran down, turned and ran down Red Hills Parkway, across the freeway, down past the outlets, down Mall Drive, and finished at Maverik by Fossil Ridge. Other than my stomach hurting the first 3-4 miles (I can't eat cookies or brownies late at night) I felt good. After my stomach felt better, my run was really good. I liked the route, especially along the new trail on the parkway. Looking forward to the Provo River Half next saturday! |

| Ran the Provo RIver 1/2 today. Went up with Sara and Jaecie. Ran about 5 minutes faster than Dogtown. I really liked this course and I felt good knowing I had ran faster than my last half and met my goal. | |

| Only 3 this morning with school starting. Interesting finish coming up my street when I came across a passed out woman laying on an electrical box at the neighbors. She was out of it when I tried to wake her up to see if she needed help. Neighbors ended up taking her home a few miles from our neighborhood. She was clearly wasted and had no idea where she was and how she got there. Funny things happen early in the morning around here! |

| Last minute decided to run my 20 at 7pm. Good route up to water tower, down Coral Canyon, back to Maverik for some gatorade and bathroom. It was hot so I drank a lot, but the heat wasn't too bad. Ran from Maverik down by fire station, down frontage road into St. George. Ran to Dixie Center trail, and did the loop around there where Terri's husband picked us up with a coke close to midnight. It was fun to go at night, and really fun to not have to wake up at 3 am on Saturday. The run wasn't fast, but I didn't care- just wanted the miles. Felt really good to come home, shower, and climb into bed and sleep! |

| Parked the car just passed The Ledges and went 15 up the course, which put us 2-3 miles above Veyo. Felt pretty good up Veyo, then after that I got into a really good groove. I really like longer runs! It was so fun to have my music, chomps, drinks, and the dark. I was in a good groove with a good pace. I stopped for a refill around mile 10, then finished up with Jolene. I feel ready for the marathon in 2 weeks. Today's run was really good, and I didn't stop to walk. Drove back up to pick up waters and get Jolene's car and stopped in Veyo to get a coke and a Veyo Pie! |

Started out riding up on the bus with my friend Jacie and Dave. I have heard so many people say how long the bus ride was, and after riding it I still don't know what they are complaining about. Maybe they don't ride the bus very often or what but I didn't think it was bad. We got up to the start, told Dave goodbye and good luck, then off to the bathroom line. Stood there for quite a while, then it was time to drop our clothes off. We then only had about 5 min before the start, so we went to the 4hr 30 min group and waited to start. I didn't have any time to go find Terri and Jolene but figured they would be ok. I am glad I had Jacie with me. Jacie and I started off but it took almost 10 min to cross the start. Here are my splits: Mile 1-9:52 Mile 2-9:45 Mile 3- 9:25 Mile 4- 9:23 Mile 5- 9:29 Mile 6- 9:06 Mile 7- 9:28 Just before Veyo hill we stopped for the bathroom. Jacie and I started up the hill, but I ended up leaving Jacie at some point on the hill. It was fun to run with her for a while. Mile 8- 9:37 Mile 9- 9:53 Mile 10- 9:41 Mile 11- 9:57 Stopped at the aid station for a refill on my water bottle and also grabbed an orange- it was really good! Mile 12- 9:49 Mile 13- 9:35 Realized my first half was about 5 minutes over 2 hrs so I was kinda bummed since I wanted to do it in 2hr or under Mile 14- 9:50 Mile 15- 9:22 Mile 16- 9:20 Mile 17- 9:40 Mile 18- 9:39 Mile 19- 10:46 Started feeling a little sick with too many chomps and gatorade, so I walked a little up The Ledges hill. Mile 20- 9:44 Mile 21- 9:38 Mile 22- 10:07 Mile 23- 10:35 Started feeling like my feet were on fire so I had to concentrate on something else. By know I was feeling a little sick again with the chomps but figured I needed to keep taking them once in a while Mile 24- 9:31 Mile 25- 10:13 Mile 26- 11:04 Almost finished but walked for a minute to get feeling better before the final finish- the last 3 miles suck .2 - 9:20 FINISHED! I have to say that I really like this race and I feel good about my time. I had a good time and just ran and enjoyed everything about it. The miles seemed to go by fast too, which was really good. This was my first marathon and won't be my last. I liked the training and the actual race. I really didn't feel too sore or anything until around mile 22. It was fun to be involved in the whole event, and have my family at the end. So fun to be with Dave at the beginning (well, the bus ride). The plan now is to continue running everyday with my great friends and start looking for another marathon in the future!

| Walked this morning with friends to get our 32 cent drink. Felt good to get the legs stretched out but the bruising on the side of my foot is hurting real bad. Think I need to stay off of it for a few more days, even though I am dying to go run a few miles! |

| Slept in this morning because of a weird night, so I went this afternoon in the rain. Went down towards the fields, cut over to dogpound, then up by Costco, and home along Telegraph. Had a good time running by myself and had a good pace around 9:30.0 until I had to stop at the park with bathroom problems. Dave came and picked me up so I only went 5 instead of the 6 I had planned. Thanks for bailing me out Dave! |

| Ran a new loop with friends this morning. Started at Harts, ran down to Mall Dr, passed Fossil Ridge, then back up to Harts by Costco road. I think it was around 5. Nice to run a different loop and have the snow on the ground! |

| Ran with my mom up in Sandy in the new fallen snow. I am sure I wouldn't want to run in the snow everyday, but these next few days in the snow are fun. It is nice to go early with new snow and be the first footprints, and it is always fun to run with my mom |

| Went up to Leeds with Dave and ran home. Got a new Nike watch for Xmas but I couldn't get the satellite to work so I don't know my splits, but I did run the 12 in 2 hours. Felt really good even though it was a tough run with a few big hills. Nice to go by myself with my music. |
